We are entering the finish line in the process of creating in my opinion the most important platform – the National Catalog of Goods.
The idea of creating it has been around for a long time. Two years ago we amended the legislation on the regulation of trade activities and fixed in it the possibility of creating a National Catalog simultaneously with the National System of Labeling and Traceable Goods.
A lot of work has been done. Everything that is produced and sold will be digitized, described and listed. This is a digital product passport, which contains a full description of the properties and characteristics of each product, weight, dimensions and consumer characteristics, certificates of conformity and many other information about the product.
But the most important thing is that the Catalog standardizes the name of goods for retail entities. In fact, a reference book is being created to fix a single name of goods on fiscal receipts. And this will allow you to already have complete reliable information about the situation on the country's market for a particular product, its demand by consumers and importantly will allow you to monitor the prices of identical goods at retail anywhere in the country. This coupled with the capabilities of the traceable goods system will give a complete picture of the turnover in the domestic market.
By the end of the year the National Product Catalog will be launched and basic access will be free of charge. Manufacturers, importers, distributors themselves will replenish it with new data. To do this they will simply need to register on the Catalog platform, after which they will be able to register their goods.
