Today, on July 2, Kazakh diplomats celebrate a professional holiday – the Day of Diplomatic Service.
The date was approved in 2009 and was not chosen by chance. It was on this day in 1992 that the Head of State approved the Regulations "On the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan", "On the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan" and "On the main duties and rights of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan". Soon the Concept of Foreign Policy was adopted. It is based on the principles of multi-vector and balanced approach.
The origins of Kazakh diplomacy go back to the times of the Kazakh Khanate, but the most significant successes were achieved during the years of independence. Under completely new historical conditions, Kazakhstan has managed to achieve international recognition and has earned the reputation of a state that is responsible for its contractual obligations and consistently stands for strengthening global and regional security, developing friendly and mutually beneficial relations with all countries of the world community.
Active international activity and a balanced political course allowed our country to establish diplomatic relations with almost all UN member states in a short time.
The recognition of Kazakhstan as a world leader in nuclear disarmament, an active moderator of the dialogue of cultures, religions and civilizations and an equal partner in solving regional and global problems of the modern world can be attributed to the unconditional foreign policy achievements.
Kazakhstan has finalized its state borders and formed a "belt of good-neighborliness" along the entire external perimeter, and also acted as the" locomotive " of integration processes in the Eurasian space, successfully chaired the OSCE, the OIC, the EAEU, the SCO, the CIS, the CSTO, the CICA and the Turkic Council, joined the WTO, held the international exhibition EXPO-2017, adequately implemented non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council in 2017-2018.
Thanks to hard work, our country is becoming more and more attractive for foreign tourists and investors every day.
The current coronavirus pandemic has become a real test for Kazakh diplomats. In the conditions of the closure of borders and the termination of passenger traffic, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and embassies in foreign countries have made titanic efforts to return home compatriots.
We congratulate our colleagues and wish to selflessly and faithfully serve the interests of the Motherland, no matter what corner of the globe fate has thrown! May your thoughts always be pure, and your actions thoughtful and kind!
