Bulgaria celebrates International Holiday "Nauryz" and World Poetry Day

On March 21, 2021, the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Bulgaria, together with the Union of Bulgarian Journalists, celebrated the International Holiday "Nauryz" and the World Poetry Day by showing documentaries about Abay Kunanbayuly and "Nauryz".

In addition to representatives of the Embassy and the Union of Bulgarian Journalists, the event was attended by the management and staff of the Bulgarian Fan club "Dimash Kudaibergen", Bulgarian representatives of the cultural direction and citizens of Kazakhstan living in Bulgaria.

At the event, the Chairman of the Union of Bulgarian Journalists, S.Todorova, made an introductory speech, who noted the importance of organizing joint events with the Embassy aimed at developing cultural ties between the two peoples.

In turn, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan T.Izbastin told the audience about the traditions and customs of the holiday "Nauryz", and also elaborated on the personality of the great Kazakh poet Abay Kunanbayuly.

An important aspect of the event was the showing of documentaries about "Nauryz" and Abay Kunanbayuly.

At the end, the guests of the event were able to get acquainted with the traditional soup "Nauryz Kozhe" and other national dishes prepared by citizens of Kazakhstan living in Bulgaria.
