Development of inter-parliamentary dialogue between Kazakhstan and Bulgaria discussed in Sofia

On December 3, 2020, in the building of the Parliament of Bulgaria, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan T. Izbastin met with the Vice-Speaker of the Parliament of Bulgaria K. Vigenin.

During the conversation, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of inter-parliamentary relations between Kazakhstan and Bulgaria. The Ambassador of Kazakhstan acquainted the Vice-Speaker with the socio-political reforms carried out in the republic, aspects of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s State of the Nation Address dated September 1, 2020, as well as with the course and peculiarities of the election campaign of the next elections to the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, scheduled for January 10, 2021.

1. Vigenin, in turn, spoke for the intensification of the Kazakh-Bulgarian cooperation, including through the inter-parliamentary dialogue, as the epidemiological situation in both countries stabilizes.

In conclusion, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan handed over to the Vice-Speaker the brochure of the Message of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K. Tokayev to the people of Kazakhstan dated September 1, 2020, the newly published book of Professor Zh.Altayev about Al-Farabi, translated into Bulgarian, and Abai's book "Напътствени слова", as well as postage stamps dedicated to the 1150th anniversary of Abu Nasr Al-Farabi and the 175th anniversary of Abay Kunanbayuly.
