Kazakhstan celebrates a state holiday - the Day of the Capital City
On July 6, Kazakhstan celebrates a state holiday - the Day of the Capital City. This year the capital turns 23 years old.

The resolution of the Supreme Council of Kazakhstan on the transfer of the capital from Almaty was adopted on July 6, 1994. Officially, the city of Nur-Sultan (which was named Astana until March 23, 2019) was declared the capital of Kazakhstan on December 10, 1997.

In record time, over two decades, a new city was built on the banks of the Yesil River, whose name is now known all over the world.

The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Singapore would like to congratulate you on the holiday.
