South Korean entrepreneurs are interested in developing cooperation in the field of pharmaceuticals and medicine

Seoul, June 29, 2022 – The Kazakh-Korean Roundtable dedicated to establishing cooperation in the field of pharmaceuticals and medicine was held in the capital of South Korea.

The main purpose of the Round Table was to exchange experience in creating biopharmaceutical clusters, to establish cooperation in the field of medical devices, as well as to search for potential companies for further cooperation.

The event was attended by about 40 South Korean pharmaceutical companies, such as "Meerecompany" (production of robots for operations), "Corentec" (production of knee prostheses), "Kolon Corporation" (production of medicines), etc.

The Kazakh delegation included such organizations and companies as the Public Health Department of Nur-Sultan, SK-Pharmacy LLP, the Pharmaceutical Cluster of South Kazakhstan, Ordamed JSC, Dolce-Pharm, etc.

In his speech, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan, Bakyt Dyussenbayev noted that Kazakhstan is interested in attracting investments and advanced technologies necessary for the successful implementation of economic modernization. He also stressed that Kazakhstan is ready to create favorable conditions for the implementation of joint mutually beneficial projects.

As a result of the round table, 5 memorandums were signed, including cooperation in the production of high-tech equipment in Kazakhstan, local production of ultrasound machines, as well as the production and sale of reagents for PCR tests.
