Consul General of Kazakhstan Talgat Sharipov met with Evren Rutbil, Director of the International Institute for Central Asian Studies.

February 21, 2025 the Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Samarkand Talgat Sharipov met with the Director of the International Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAS) Evren Rutbil.

The Director of IICAS informed about the history of establishment of the Institute, management structure and main directions of activity, including realized research projects.

The parties discussed issues of historical and cultural development of Central Asia, the state and prospects of interaction between Kazakhstan and IICAS for the near future.

Talgat Sharipov expressed readiness to actively cooperate and support the realization of new projects aimed at preservation of historical and cultural heritage of Kazakhstan and Central Asian region.

Following the meeting, the Parties expressed mutual interest in strengthening cooperation between the academic and research circles of Kazakhstan and the International Institute for Central Asian Studies, also reached an agreement on joint activities.
