The Consul General met with the Rector of Samarkand State University

January 23, 2025 Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Samarkand Talgat Sharipov held a meeting with the Rector of Samarkand State University named after Sh. Rashidov Rustam Halmuradov.

During the meeting the sides discussed issues of scientific, educational, academic and humanitarian cooperation, exchange of experience between educational institutions of the two countries, realization of joint projects.

R. Khalmuradov spoke in detail about the history of the University's development and expressed gratitude to the Kazakh side for the opening of the Abay Center and the Kazakh Language and Literature Department at SamSU in October 2024. He informed that classes on teaching Kazakh language and literature are planned to be introduced in the educational process of the University in 2025-2026 academic year.

In turn, the Consul General noted the readiness to provide full support to initiatives aimed at strengthening scientific, educational and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
