A new flight has been opened between the cities of Turkestan and Samarkand

In order to further develop cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in the fields of tourism, culture and economy, aircompany Qazaq Air and the Samarkand company Air Marakanda have opened a new flight in the direction of Turkestan – Samarkand – Turkestan. This air route will create qualitatively new conditions for increasing tourist flows between two historical cities with a rich cultural heritage.

The aircraft from Turkestan landed at Samarkand International Airport on March 22 at 21:10, where it was traditionally greeted with a water arch, and passengers, a delegation with representatives of the Akimat of the Turkestan region and the leadership of the Kazakh airline were greeted on the apron in the best traditions of the Uzbek people – to the sounds of karnay and surnay. 

Flights will be operated twice a week according to the following schedule: Departure from Turkestan at 20:20 – arrival in Samarkand at 21:20. Departure from Samarkand at 22:10 – arrival at Turkestan airport at 23:10.
