Embassy of Kazakhstan in Italy marks Nauryz national holiday and anniversary of Association of Kazakh Students in Italy

Rome, 21 March 2023 – An event was held at The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Italy has hosted an event to mark Nauryz national holiday. The party was attended by Kazakh students studying at Italian universities, members of the Association of Kazakh youth in Italy and Kazakh diplomats. 

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Italy, Yerbolat Sembayev, who congratulated students on the bright holiday of Nauryz, noted the special role of young people in the construction of the ‘New Kazakhstan’.

‘Today a great number of Kazakh students study abroad, including in Italy. It is essential that young people use this knowledge for the benefit of our country. Our young people should strive for knowledge, be industrious and patriotic. The desire to be useful and helpful to the fatherland should be inherent in every person. Only then, young people will be able to contribute to the development of Kazakhstan," Yerbolat Sembayev said.

The Ambassador also noted the important role of the Association of Kazakh students in Italy in supporting our youth, promoting Kazakhstan abroad and expressed the readiness of the Embassy of Kazakhstan to intensify cooperation with the Association on joint activities and implementation of various projects. Yerbolat Sembayev congratulated the Association of Kazakh students in Italy on the anniversary of its establishment and wished it great success.  

In turn, the head of the cultural-mass department of the Association of Kazakh students in Italy Akerke Zhantles thanked the Kazakh Embassy in Rome for assistance in organising the event and expressed readiness for further cooperation. She noted that during the year of existence of the Association managed to unite more than 800 Kazakh students in Italy.

The programme of the event continued with Kazakh national songs and melodies performed by the students, presentation of certificates of gratitude to the organisers and various contests. The Embassy organised a festive dastarkhan with Kazakh national dishes for the students.
