“Tourism Days of Almaty” took place in the major cities of Saudi Arabia

On October 23 - 25, 2023, on the eve of the National Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Embassy of Kazakhstan to Saudi Arabia, the Consulate General of Kazakhstan in Jeddah and the Almaty Tourism Department hosted a Roadshow entitled “Days of Tourism of Almaty” in the major cities of Saudi Arabia - Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah.

The event was attended by the heads of Kazakh tourism and aviation companies, such as "Azimut Travel", "Empire Travel Qazaqstan", "Incognito LTD", "Air Astana" and others. The Saudi side was represented by the management and members of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the cities of Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah, as well as leaders and managers of tour operators, airlines and representatives of local and regional media.

During the road show, Kazakh travel companies made presentations about the tourism opportunities of Kazakhstan, including Almaty and the Almaty region, and provided the guests with the extensive information about their activities, as well as the measures taken to develop the tourism industry and whole this sector.

Travel companies noted that today Kazakhstan can offer almost all types of tourism services - from educational and entertainment tours to recreational, business and ecotourism.

In addition, they demonstrated promotional videos with natural landscapes and sights of Almaty city, as well as organized a concert program of Kazakh folk music and gastronomic tasting of dishes of national cuisine.

Following the Roadshow, the parties organized B2B Networking, where Kazakh and Saudi tour operators and airlines held practical meetings.

In general, the Saudi participants highly appreciated the organization of the tourism Roadshow, where they got essential information about Kazakhstan and its tourism opportunities.

Kazakh tourism Roadshow in Saudi Arabia has been organized for the third consecutive year, therefore last year the number of Saudi tourists who visited Kazakhstan increased 20 times (from 300 to 6 thousand), and this year their number was 4,7 thousand people.
