On October 24, 2023, the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia held a reception on the occasion of Republic Day in Riyadh

The solemn event was attended by the Deputy Governor of Riyadh Province Dr. Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudairy as a guest of honor, members of the Shoura Council, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other government agencies, international organizations located in Riyadh and Jeddah, ambassadors and diplomats of foreign countries, businessmen, representatives of intellectuals and media, as well as prominent public and political figures. 

In his welcoming remarks, H.E. Mr. Berik Aryn, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Saudi Arabia, informed about the historical importance of Republic Day and the main achievements of Kazakhstan during the period of sovereign development.

He also mentioned about the development of Kazakh-Saudi relations at the present stage and emphasized that cooperation between the two countries has gained momentum last and this year during the visits of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Saudi Arabia. 

The Kazakh Embassy demonstrated a short documentary film about Republic Day and organized a photo exhibition about the economic and tourism potential and natural beauties of Kazakhstan. Throughout the event, Embassy distributed image materials and handouts about Kazakhstan, including its political, social, and economic development, literature and art. 

The guests also had an opportunity to taste the dishes of the national cuisine.

In addition, the artists of the duet "Ethnos" presented the works of famous Kazakh composers and national folklore to the public.

During the event, prominent public and political representatives of Saudi Arabia and invited guests sincerely congratulated the people of Kazakhstan on Republic Day and wished peace and progress.
