Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia in the mining field discussed in Riyadh

On May 16, 2023, H.E. Mr. Berik Aryn, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Saudi Arabia, met with Mr. Robert Wilt, the CEO of the largest Saudi mining company Ma'aden.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of expanding cooperation between Ma'aden and Kazakh companies in the mining and metallurgical sector. They exchanged views on implementing joint investment projects in the mining industry in Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia.

In addition, H.E. Mr. Berik Aryn provided an overview of the mining and metallurgical complex in Kazakhstan, current legislation, and best practices and technologies used in the industry.

The Kazakh Ambassador also presented investment opportunities in Kazakhstan to Ma'aden's leadership and highlighted mining projects being developed by Kazakh mining and exploration companies.

Ma'aden is a fast-growing mining company that specializes in the exploration and production of gold, non-ferrous metals, minerals, phosphates, aluminum, and other materials, as well as the development of mining infrastructure and industry, including the production of phosphate fertilizers. It is currently among the top 15 global mining companies based on market cap.
