Ambassador of Kazakhstan held a meeting with the Special Advisor to the Secretary General of the World Islamic League

On February 14, 2023 H.E. Mr. Berik Aryn, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Saudi Arabia received the Advisor to the Secretary General of the Muslim World League (MWL) Abdul Aziz bin Ahmad Sarkhan.

Ambassador Berik Aryn expressed his gratitude for the continued support to the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions from the first days of its activity, as well as for the active participation of the MWL leadership and representatives in all Congresses and meetings of its Secretariat.

In his turn, Abdul Aziz Sarkhan stated that the League intends to continue to support Kazakhstan's efforts to promote inter-religious and inter-civilizational dialogue at the international level, since the Astana Inter-religious Forum plays a crucial role in maintaining peace and stability.

The parties also exchanged views on several important events taking place in the region and the world. They agreed to continue joint efforts to strengthen cooperation between Kazakhstan and the MWL, including within the framework of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.
