Kazakh companies took part in the Future Minerals Forum in Riyadh

With the support of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Saudi Arabia, “Kazakh Invest” and GreyWolf Management companies, as well as the Astana International Financial Center, participated in the second edition of the Future Minerals Forum (FMF), which took place on January 11-12, 2023, in Riyadh.

Eurasian Resources Group and KAZ Minerals companies, which have vast mining activities in Kazakhstan, also took part in the FMF.

Within the framework of the forum, the Kazakh side organized a special “Kazakhstan pavilion”, where the “Kazakh Invest” National Company presented investment opportunities in Kazakhstan and informed participants on current mining projects being developed by Kazakh mining and exploration companies, such as Tau-Ken Samruk and Kazgeology, etc.

A separate exhibition pavilion was also presented by GreyWolf Management, which participated as one of the sponsors of the forum. GreyWolf Management briefed on the activities, services, and experience of the company in the mining field.

The forum program included a special session dedicated to Kazakhstan, where the CEOs of GreyWolf Management and KAZ Minerals presented the economic and investment opportunities of Kazakhstan, as well as informed participants about the development of the mining sector, including current legislation, best practices, and technologies applied in Kazakhstan.

In addition, within the framework of the forum, Embassy organized meetings of Kazakh companies with the leadership and representatives of several government entities and large mining companies of Saudi Arabia.

The forum became an efficient platform for Kazakh companies to establish contacts with the government and private sector, as well as to discuss global trends and challenges in the mining industry, such as promoting a dialogue on the future development of the mining industry, the contribution of minerals to the development of new technologies, the creation of sustainable supply chains, accelerating the energy and ESG transition, etc.

This year the Future Minerals Forum was attended by over 6,000 delegates from over 100 countries, including heads and representatives of various government bodies, international organizations, and agencies in the mining industry.
