A festive concert of the folklore ensemble "Akzharma" and dance ensemble "Zhorga" was held in Riga on the occasion of the Nauryz holiday

Riga, 15 March 2024 – On the initiative of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Latvia on the eve of the spring holiday "Nauryz" on the stage of the Palace of Culture "VEF" in Riga was held a gala concert "Welcome, Nauryz" of the folklore ensemble "Akzharma" and dance ensemble "Zhorga" of the Mangistau Regional Philharmonic named after M. Oskinbaev.

Opening the event the Ambassador of Kazakhstan Dauren Karipov expressed gratitude to all guests for participation in the concert, timed to the Nauryz holiday, noting that this event will contribute to strengthening cultural ties between Kazakhstan and Latvia.

The Kazakh artists presented a varied and rich programme, which combined both folk and contemporary Kazakh composers, demonstrating to the audience a virtuoso performance on national instruments.

The Latvian audience was impressed by the diversity and originality of Kazakh culture, the sweetness and soulfulness of the performed works

Within the framework of the event, the Embassy, in order to promote the tourism potential of our country, made a presentation of the tourist guidebook about Kazakhstan published this year and presented the guidebook to all the guests.
