A joint event dedicated to the Nauryz holiday was held in the capital of Latvia

Riga, 14 March 2024 – The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Latvia together with the Turkic-speaking embassies of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Uzbekistan solemnly celebrated in the capital of Latvia the holiday "Nauryz", which is a symbol of awakening and rebirth of nature and aspiration for new life.

Within the framework of the event, the artists of the folklore ensemble "Akzharma" of the Mangistau Regional Philharmonic Society named after M. Oskinbaev delighted the guests with their skills.

The solemn event was attended by Latvian political figures, members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of business, mass media, public and cultural organisations, as well as compatriots living in Latvia.

In his welcoming speech, Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Latvia Dauren Karipov told the guests that Nauryz is a bank holiday that promotes friendship, mutual respect and harmony between the peoples of our country.

After the cultural and creative part of the festive event, national dishes were presented to the guests.
