Development of co-operation in the humanitarian sphere is a priority in the activities of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Latvia

On February 29, 2024, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Latvia Dauren Karipov met with the Director of the Academic Library of the University of Latvia, Doctor of Philological Sciences Venta Kocere.

The meeting was held at the Kazakhstan Information Centre "Abai" at the Academic Library of the University of Latvia, aimed at expanding and strengthening cultural and humanitarian cooperation, scientific and educational ties between Kazakhstan and Latvia, as well as promoting the work of the great Kazakh poet and thinker Abai Kunanbayev in Latvia.

During the four years of the Centre's work, many different events, exhibitions, round tables, readings about Kazakh intelligentsia, poetry evenings, meetings of representatives of the Kazakh diaspora and student youth have been held there.

Ambassador of Kazakhstan D.Karipov thanked the head of the Centre V. Kocere for his significant contribution to the development of cultural ties between the two countries and introducing the visitors of the Centre to the works of Abai.
