The port of Riga is ready to intensify cooperation with Kazakh companies

Riga, January 30, 2024 – The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Latvia, Dauren Karipov, met with the Manager of the Freeport of Riga, Ansis Zeltiņš.

During the conversation, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in deepening cooperation in the field of container transportation using the multifunctional infrastructure of the port. Considerable attention was paid to expanding interaction and creating joint projects in the free economic zone of the port of Riga with the subsequent export of finished products to the European market.

In addition, A. Zeltiņš informed about the progress of preparations for the implementation of a number of specific projects for the transshipment of various Kazakh cargoes.
