Topical issues of Kazakhstan-Latvia trade and economic co-operation were discussed

On 25 January, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan Dauren Karipov met with the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Latvia Viktor Valainis.

During the meeting, the parties expressed satisfaction with the progressive development of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, as well as exchanged views and proposals for additional efforts to expand and deepen bilateral cooperation, including through the implementation of joint investment projects in various sectors of the economy. In this context, they confirmed their interest in holding the next meeting of the Kazakhstan-Latvia Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation in Riga this year.

In addition, the Kazakh diplomat conveyed to the Minister of Economy V. Valainis the invitation of the Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan A. Kuantyrov to participate in the Astana International Forum-2024 on the theme: "Empowering people, uniting nations: building a better world together".
