Music unites youth

On December 15-16, 2023, the annual youth competition of the International Vocal and Music Festival “Riga Symphony-2023” was held in the capital of Latvia.

Young and talented performers from Kazakhstan have repeatedly become winners and prize-winners of this prestigious song festival. This year our country was represented at the festival by six young talents aged from 8 to 11 years. In addition, Kazakhstan was represented on the jury of the competition by the honored soloist of the Opera and Ballet Theater of Astana and Almaty, a professional vocal and voice image teacher Ilona Ten.

On the eve of the competition, young contestants from Kazakhstan were warmly welcomed at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Latvia, were they had been wished a good luck and victories.

The worthy performance of the Kazakhstanis was shown by the results of the competition, according to which our children received 5 gold and 1 silver medals.

At the end of the competition, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Latvia Dauren Karipov, together with the diplomats, congratulated our winners and expressed special gratitude for the warm welcome of our citizens, the organization and holding of this event to the management of the Riga Symphony festival, the famous Latvian composer and producer Elena Lorena Svilpe.

As E.Svilpe herself noted, the participation of talented youth from Kazakhstan at this song festival is a clear confirmation of the friendship between our countries and especially emphasized that young contestants from Kazakhstan are always welcome at the festival.
