Cooperation between the judiciary of Kazakhstan and Latvia enters a new stage of interaction

On July 11-12, 2023, a delegation of the Supreme Court and the Judicial Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan paid a working visit to Latvia.

The main purpose of the visit is to further develop and strengthen cooperation with the judicial authorities of Latvia, as well as a regular and systematic exchange of experience in the field of judicial administration.

With the support of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Latvia, the delegation met with the leadership of the Supreme Court, the Judicial Administration, the National Association of Judges and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Latvia. The parties exchanged information on ongoing legislative reforms in the judicial systems of the two countries. Latvian colleagues acquainted Kazakh lawyers with the procedure for conducting legal proceedings and administering the work of courts, conducting cassation proceedings in the Supreme Court of Latvia.

Kazakh representatives, in turn, shared their experience in reforming the judicial system in our country.

Following the results of the meetings, the parties confirmed their high interest in continuing constructive cooperation between the judiciary of the two countries.
