Opportunities for regional cooperation in the agricultural sector discussed

On February 21, 2022, a meeting was held at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Latvia with the leadership of the Latvian company "AquariusForte".

JSC "AquariusForte" specializes in agricultural innovations and is interested in establishing mutually beneficial cooperation with enterprises of Kazakhstan in the effective use of "green", environmentally friendly technologies in agriculture. In particular, for the Latvian company, the experience of agricultural producers of the Zhambyl region in applying the Aquaponics method based on the simultaneous breeding of fish and growing crops without soil is of practical interest.

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan thanked his Latvian colleagues for their interest in cooperation with our country and informed about the opportunities for doing business in Kazakhstan, benefits and preferences for foreign investment and entrepreneurs. Separately, he dwelled on the socio-economic reforms carried out in Kazakhstan at the initiative of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. He focused on the state support measures for small and medium-sized businesses.

At the end of the conversation, an agreement was reached that the Latvian side will submit to the Embassy its proposals for cooperation with Kazakhstan, which will be sent to the industry organizations of our country to establish business contacts with "AquariusForte" JSC.
