About the meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia

On January 25, 2022, at the initiative of the Embassy, Ambassador Timur Primbetov met with the Director General of the Directorate of Bilateral Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia, Nils Jansens.

During the conversation, the parties discussed topical issues of further strengthening the multifaceted Kazakh-Latvian relations. Special attention was paid to the tasks of practical implementation of the agreements reached following the results of the 8th meeting of the Kazakh-Latvian Intergovernmental Commission.

Ambassador T. Primbetov informed the high-ranking Latvian diplomat about the tragic events in Kazakhstan, focusing the interlocutor's attention on the measures taken by the leadership of Kazakhstan aimed at stabilizing the socio-political and socio-economic situation in the country. In addition, T.Primbetov noted that at present the authorities of Kazakhstan are conducting a thorough and comprehensive investigation, the results of which will be made public.

At the end of the conversation, the parties spoke in favor of joint productive work on the development of bilateral relations.

The meeting was held in a confidential and constructive atmosphere.
