Riga, 30th of November, 2021– The Baltic International Academy hosted a presentation of an exhibition of Kazakhstani artists, timed to coincide with the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Latvia noted in his welcoming speech that the Day of the First President is a special holiday for every citizen of Kazakhstan, which is celebrated in the Republic of Kazakhstan on 1st of December.
The formation and development of independent Kazakhstan is inextricably linked with the name of Nursultan Nazarbayev, under whose leadership fundamental political, democratic and socio-economic reforms were successfully carried out. Today Kazakhstan in many respects occupies a leading position in the post-Soviet space.
The exhibition of works by Kazakh artists is a clear confirmation of close Kazakh-Latvian cultural ties and reflects a great interest to the culture of the Kazakh people.
Among those invited to the presentation of the exhibition were the deputies of the Latvian Saeima, ambassadors of foreign states accredited in Latvia, representatives of the academic community and the Kazakh diaspora.
