The development of cultural, humanitarian and educational ties is a priority in the work of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Latvia

On May 12, 2021, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Latvia Timur Primbetov presented the Director of the Academic Library of the University of Latvia, doctor of philology Venta Kocere with a letter of gratitude from the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the contribution to the development of cultural and educational ties between Kazakhstan and Latvia, as well as popularization in Latvia of the works of the great Kazakh poet and enlightener Abai Kunanbayev.

The Embassy of Kazakhstan closely cooperates with the Academic Library of the University of Latvia. With the direct support of V. Kocere, the Kazakhstan Information Center "Abai" was opened in the library in 2019.

Kocere expressed gratitude for the high appreciation of her activities in the development of cultural, humanitarian and educational ties between Latvia and Kazakhstan, and also confirmed the readiness for further mutually beneficial cooperation in the framework of joint projects with the Embassy on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
