Development of cooperation in the humanitarian sphere is a priority in the activity of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Latvia

On February 17, 2021 the Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Latvia Timur Primbetov presented the Director of the Academic Library of the University of Latvia, doctor of philology Venta Kocere the letter of gratitude of the Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aktoti Raimkulova for contribution to development of cultural and educational connections between Kazakhstan and Latvia, as well as the popularization of the work of the great Kazakh poet and enlightener Abai Kunanbayev.

The meeting was held at the Kazakhstan Information Center "Abai" at the Academic Library of the University of Latvia, which was opened with the direct participation of Venta Kocere.

The Academic Library of the University of Latvia actively cooperates with the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Almost all of the literature for the Kazakhstan Information Center "Abai" was donated from Kazakhstan.

The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Latvia invited Venta Kocere to participate in the joint preparation of the album "Latvians about Kazakhstan", which will be released on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
