The working visit of the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan A.Kamaldinov to Toronto

Toronto, 11 october 2022 - Ambassador of Kazakhstan A.Kamaldinov to Canada paid a working visit to Toronto (Ontario). As part of the visit, the Kazakh diplomat took part in a business round table, which was organized by the Canadian-Eurasian Chamber of Commerce. The event was attended by representatives of 30 companies from various sectors of the Canadian economy.

In his speech, A. Kamaldinov informed the participants about the progress of implementation of political and economic reforms in Kazakhstan, as well as about possible measures to develop the business environment in the country. In their presentations, representatives of the Embassy and National company KazakhInvest placed special emphasis on the existing potential development of new promising areas of economic cooperation: IT, renewable energy, rare earth metals, transport and logistics.

Bilateral meetings were also conducted with high-tech Canadian companies Avalon Advanced Metals (lithium batteries), Athletica Sport Systems (sports equipment and gear), Hatch (engineering services) and NDT Technologies (automated control systems).

As a result of the event, Canadian companies were invited to participate in the 5th meeting of the Business Council of Kazakhstan - Canada, which is scheduled for November 24-25, 2022 in Astana.

At the end of the visit, there was organized the meeting with the President of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce in Mr. Rocco Rossi (60 thousand member), as well as discussion and visit to the production site of the Li-Metal company (lithium products).
