Canada proposed to introduce new construction technologies in Kazakhstan
On November 17, within the framework of the Construction and Infrastructure Working Group of the "Kazakhstan-Canada" Business Council, Kazakh and Canadian experts, representatives of governments and business circles discussed cooperation and exchange of experience in the construction sector, including urban planning, modern technologies in housing, social and commercial construction.
In the welcoming remarks to the participants of the Working Group, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Canada Akylbek Kamaldinov noted that given the high dynamics of development of Kazakhstan, we are open to new trends and technologies for modernizing infrastructure and economic growth together with foreign partners.
The well-known Canadian architect, President of the Geller Group, Michael Geller, who took part in the competition for the development of the Concept of the Master plan of the capital of Kazakhstan until 2030 as an international expert, offered support by the Government of British Columbia to Kazakhstan in the study of timber frame construction technology and its implementation in our country. According to M. Geller, today Canadian technologies allow the build high-rise residential buildings on a wooden frame, while ensuring a reduction in costs and time for construction and an increase its environmental friendliness and energy efficiency.
The Kazakh side presented the main directions of development of the construction industry, conditions for supporting foreign investors, as well as the implementation of public-private partnership projects.
A series of events continues within the framework of the Business Council: on November 19, a meeting of the Working Group in the field of health and education will take place, and on November 23, in the field of agriculture and agricultural technologies.
