National Funds of Kazakhstan and Norway establishing cooperation

The delegation of the National Bank of Kazakhstan represented by the First Deputy Governor Mr. Yerulan Zhamaubayev, Director of the Monetary Operations Department Mr. Nurzhan Tursunkhanov and the Deputy Head of the Analysis and Risk Management Division of the Monetary Operations Department Mr. Zhaiyk Botabayev visited Oslo on March 10-11, 2025.

The program of the visit included the meetings with the Deputy Governor of Norges Bank Mr. Pål Longva, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Norges Bank Investment Management Mr. Trond Grande, Investment Director of the Asset Management Department at the Royal Norwegian Ministry of Finance Mr. Tom Fearnley and Ambassador of Norway to Kazakhstan Mr. John Mikal Kvistad.

The negotiations primarily focused on the best practices of the Government Pension Fund Global and the possible findings for the National Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
