22 June 2020, Lillehammer. "Kazakhstan: Investment and Business Opportunities", a seminar

The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Norway will meet business community of the Innlandet county.

Ambassador Yerkin Akhinzhanov will talk about the development of Kazakhstan, the country's economic opportunities and the prospects for Kazakh-Norwegian cooperation.

Kazakhstan is the largest economy in Central Asia and the leader in terms of attracted foreign investments in the region. The nation is #25 in the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business ranking 2020, including #4 for enforcing contracts and #7 for protecting minority investors.

According to Kazakhstan's Embassy in Oslo, the annual Kazakh-Norwegian trade turnover is slightly over $90 m, which signifies the huge unutilized potential for business-to-business interaction. Diplomats single out several major areas for economic cooperation, including energy, transports and logistics, agriculture, financial services, tourism, and sports.

"Certainly, this list of priorities can be extended. Once there is an interest on the business side, the Embassy is ready to provide the Kazakh Government's support in every possible way," the diplomatic mission says.
