Ambassador meets "Equinor" vice-presidents

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Norway Mr. Adil Tursunov met the Senior Vice-Presidents of "Equinor" energy company Mr. Eirik Wærness and Mr. Erling Vågnes.

During the talks Ambassador informed top-managers of “Equinor” about the current political and economic transformation of Kazakhstan, the situation and prospects of development of petroleum and energy industries in country. He also briefed on measures promoting "green economy" transition in the context of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s agenda to achieve carbon neutrality in Kazakhstan by 2060.

In turn, the representatives of the Norwegian company updated on the main priorities and the future plans of “Equinor” company. The parties noted the possible areas of Kazakh-Norwegian cooperation in the energy sector.
