Meeting at Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Norway Mr. Adil Tursunov and Director of the Department of Nuclear Energy Technologies of the JSC National Company “Kazatomprom” Ms. Zuriyat Sauatova held a meeting with State Secretary of the Royal  Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy Ms. Elisabeth Sæther.

At the meeting, the Ambassador informed about political and socio-economic transformations of Kazakhstan, the state and prospects of development of petroleum and energy sectors of our country. He also briefed on measures promoting a "green economy" transition in light of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s task to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060.

The meeting showed a mutual interest of the parties in enhancing Kazakh-Norwegian cooperation in energy sector.

The parties agreed to continue working together in this direction.
