Meeting at Norwegian Energy Partners (NORWEP)

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Norway Mr. Adil Tursunov and Director of the Department of Nuclear Energy Technologies of the JSC National Company “Kazatomprom” Ms. Zuriyat Sauatova held talks with CEO of the Norwegian Energy Partners (NORWEP) Ms. Ann-Kristin Andersen. Vice Presidents of “Aker Solutions” company Mr. John Nustad and Mr. Gennady Lakhov also took part in the meeting.

The Ambassador informed about Kazakhstan's plans for further development of petroleum and energy sectors. He also briefed on the renewable energy projects that are being implemented in light of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s task to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060.

Special attention was paid to the Kazakhstan Government’s Comprehensive Plan for development of major petroleum and petrochemical projects for 2023-2027. Under this Plan, the Government is eager to attract investments of more than 37 billion US dollars.

At the meeting, the parties agreed to promote cooperation between Kazakhstan and Norwegian companies in energy sector.
