The «e-Residency of the Republic of Kazakhstan» project has been launched in Kazakhstan

As of 1 January 2026, the Republic of Kazakhstan has launched the state digital project «e-Residency of the Republic of Kazakhstan» which provides foreign nationals with the opportunity to obtain a digital identity and access a range of digital and financial services of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The e-Residency program enables users to obtain an official digital status in Kazakhstan and access both public and commercial online services.

The e-Residency program offers the following opportunities:

  • obtaining an Individual Identification Number (IIN) of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
  • obtaining an electronic digital signature;
  • remote access to banking and financial services;
  • use of digital government services;
  • access to business and investment opportunities in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The e-Residency application process is carried out entirely online, including the submission of the application and identity verification.
