The number of foreign tourists is growing in Almaty

According to the eQonaq information system, more than 199,000 people from different countries have visited  Almaty since the beginning of 2023.

It was noted that recently there has been a flow of tourists from the Middle East. This is due to the opening of direct flights from Oman to Almaty on July 1, 2023.

Galia Tokseitova, Head of the Tourism Department stated that Almaty is beginning to enjoy great popularity among business travelers and ordinary travelers from the Middle East. We welcome our guests from Oman and we are sure that their visits will be pleasant and memorable.

The main purpose of launching a new flight in the direction of Almaty-Muscat is to develop the tourist potential of Kazakhstan and Oman, to strengthen trade, economic and cultural ties between the two countries.
