The 29th Session of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan
On April 28, 2021, the 29th Session of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan (hereinafter – APK) held under the chairmanship of H.E. Nursultan Nazarbayev, First President of Kazakhstan, on the agenda – «30 years of unity, peace and harmony».
At the Session First President of Kazakhstan Nazarbayev resigned from the position of Chairman of the APK and handed it over to President Tokayev. Nursultan Nazarbayev became the Honorary Chairman of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan.
At the event the First President of Kazakhstan stated that «the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan should stand next to the current President as support». He also called to maintain stability in the country and society.
President Tokayev said that against the background of geopolitical instability in the world Kazakhstan has a significant margin of safety. "This is the consent and unity of the people, as well as the economic potential of the country".
At the end of the Session the Assembly adopted special Address that stated: «Since gaining independence 30 years ago people of Kazakhstan have chosen social harmony and national unity as the main principle of the country's development». This principle became a solid foundation for successful and large-scaled socio-economic reforms, and development of the nation’s social capital.
