VISA REQUIREMENTS

Since September 30, 2019 citizens of 57 countries, including Sultanate of Oman are exempted from visa requirements to visit Kazakhstan up to 30 days.

Moreover, the Government of Kazakhstan has introduced a visa-free entry regime for citizens of China, India and Iran, which will allow citizens of these countries a continuous visa-free stay in Kazakhstan for up to 14 days.

These travelers are permitted a total visa-free stay in Kazakhstan of up to 42 days within every 180 days.

 

For other foreign Nationals with Omani and Yemeni Residency:

Visa services are provided to Yemeni citizens and foreign nationals with permanent or full-time residency in the Sultanate of Oman and Republic of Yemen.

All visa applications must be submitted in person, no applications accepted by post or courier service.

 

Applying for visa:

• Valid passport.Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months longer than the validity of the requested visa and it should have at least two blank pages for a visa and entry and exit stamps.

 

• Visa Application. A separate visa application form must be completed for each person. All fields must be completed, otherwise your application may be refused. You may download.

 

• Photo.Two passport size (3,5 cm x 4,5 cm) photos of the applicant, which should be stapled to the marked space in the upper right hand corner of the application form.

 

• Letter of Request.A letter with a request to issue a visa addressed to the Consular Section of the Embassy of Kazakhstan. Please, indicate your name, the purpose of your trip, your contact in Kazakhstan, the dates of your planned trip, and places to be visited.

 

• Letter of Invitation. Citizens of the countries that do not have visa-free entry arrangements with the Republic of Kazakhstan require an invitation letter from migration authorities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

 

• Visa Fee Payment.Visa fees must be paid to the Embassy’s account at the Bank of Muscat. Original receipt of the payment should be submitted to the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Oman. Visa fee payments are nonrefundable regardless of the results of visa processing.

Visa issuance processing time is 5 business days. Under some emergency circumstances (unexpected illness, death of relative) visas may be issued within 3 working days upon submitting a certified cable from a medical doctor or a copy of a death certificate.

 

NOTE: Visa applications must be submitted in person.
