Parliamentary elections in Kazakhstan were discussed in Moldovan Central Electoral Commission

         On March 3^rd, 2023, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Moldova, Mr. Almat Aidarbekov met with the Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission of Moldova, Ms. Angelica Caraman.

         During the conversation Mr. Aidarbekov briefed about upcoming early parliamentary elections in Kazakhstan on March 19^th, 2023, and that the first time a polling station will be opened at the Embassy. The Ambassador also shared the latest news from Kazakhstan, including democratic transformations, constitutional, political and economic reforms initiated by President Tokayev.     

         In turn, Ms. Caraman said that on March 16^th, 2023, she is leaving for Astana to participate in the observation of the Parliamentary elections. The electoral legislation changes in Kazakhstan draw attention and interest of the Moldovan side.

         At the end of the conversation, the parties agreed to maintain working contacts for the exchange of experience and mutually beneficial cooperation between the CEC authorities.
