Ambassador D.Kaletaev made a trip to Kamyanske, the city of youth and study years of N. Nazarbayev

On July 4, 2020 in the run-up to the anniversary of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Elbasy, Ambassador Darkhan Kaletaev made a trip to Kamyanske, the city of youth and study years of N. Nazarbayev.

The residents are proud that the outstanding politician of our time spent the most important part of his life in Kamyanske. The city authorities cherish the memory of their honorary citizen: special sections dedicated to Elbasy have been created in the history museums and the higher vocational school. On one of the central streets there is a bas-relief to the First President. At the same time, the city particularly appreciates that N.A. Nazarbayev, having already occupied the highest state post, repeatedly visited Kamyanske and always spoke warmly about his years of study in Ukraine.

“Technical school number 8 is my foundation. Throughout my life I keep the memory of years of study here. It was here, probably, where I started to become what I am now,” - Nursultan Abishevich left such an entry in the school’s book of reviews.

These objects, as well as the Dnieper Metallurgical Combine, where the future Leader of Kazakhstan was on a practical training course, were visited by the head of the Kazakh diplomatic mission.

During the meetings supporters of N.A. Nazarbayev, among which wrestling coach of the First President, Lev Ezhevsky, shared their memories. They emphasized that Nursultan Abishevich will always be an important part of the rich history of Kamyanske.

On the occasion of the upcoming anniversary, the 5th volleyball tournament among city teams was also held in Kamyanske.
