Israeli Advanced Technologies Important for Kazakh Business

NUR-SULTAN, August 7, 2019 — Foreign Minister Beibut Atamkulov received the Ambassador of Israel to Kazakhstan, Liat Vekselman.

The parties discussed a wide range of issues relating to the current state and prospects of bilateral political, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, as well as pertinent issues of the regional and international agenda.

“Israel is Kazakhstan’s partner in the introduction of advanced agro-technologies, cybersecurity and other innovative developments. Strong and trusting relations have been formed between our states,” the Foreign Minister said.

It was proposed to consider the possibility of creating a special Center for Israeli Technologies that will familiarize Kazakh entrepreneurs with advanced developments of Israeli companies.

One of the promising cooperation areas is agriculture, since Israel has vast experience in the effective development of farms and cultivated areas using drip irrigation.

Ambassador Vekselman noted that Israel highly appreciates the active role of Kazakhstan in the international arena and its contribution to strengthening security and stability in the world.

The Israeli Ambassador suggested to resume direct flights between Kazakhstan and Israel to intensify business, tourism and cultural ties.

Following the meeting, medium-term priority areas of cooperation were outlined.
