The Ambassador of Kazakhstan met with the Chairman of the State Archival Service of Ukraine

On June 3, 2021, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Ukraine Darkhan Kaletaev met with Head of the State Archival Service of Ukraine Anatolii Khromov.

Ambassador D. Kaletaev informed about Kazakhstan's readiness to develop exchange of experience and information between archival institutions. He expressed interest in the exchange of archival, scientific-methodological, reference literature on archival affairs, as well as the possibility of organizing research by Kazakhstani scientists of the archives of Ukraine. In this context, Darkhan Kaletaev noted the importance of searching for materials and documents concerning the special settlers.

Khromov shared the Ukrainian experience in the field of archiving and stated the need to intensify cooperation with Kazakhstan, i.a. signing a new agreement with the National Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The parties agreed to organize online consultations between the archival institutions of the two countries.
