Exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence of Kazakhstan and 25th anniversary of ENU opened in Ukraine

On May 28, 2021, at the Franko Lviv National University, with the assistance of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Ukraine, the grand opening of the exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the 25th anniversary of the Gumilyov Eurasian National University took place.

The event was held with the participation of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Ukraine Darkhan Kaletaev, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Lviv Galina Maslyuk, rectors of the ENU Yerlan Sydykov and the LNU Volodymyr Melnik, as well as representatives of the two universities.

In his speech, Yerlan Sydykov said that this year the Eurasian National University celebrates the first significant date - 25 years since its foundation. The scientist made a connection between this date and the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, noting that the university founded by the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev is one of the symbols of the country's independence.

In turn, Volodymyr Melnik congratulated the university on the significant date, adding that in a short time the university staff had managed to gain a strong momentum in development, and wished further success.

Vice-Rector for Strategic Development of the Gumilyov ENU Duman Aitmagambetov gave more details on the exhibition, stressing that 25 historical photographs from the life of the university are presented here.

The exposition presents unique photographs that clearly demonstrate the stages of the formation and development of the ENU.

Visitors to the photo exhibition have the opportunity to join the most important milestones in the quarter-century history of the university, plunge into its significant events and feel the connection between times.
