The Charge d'affaires of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. G. Akbasov, met with the Head of the Representative Office of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Afghanistan, Dr. Muhammad Saeed Al-Ayash.

01/21/2024, Kabul - The Charge d'affaires of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. G. Akbasov, met with the Head of the Representative Office of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Afghanistan, Dr. Muhammad Saeed Al-Ayash.

At the meeting, Mr. G. Akbasov noted that Kazakhstan attaches great importance and gives priority attention to the reopening of the Office of this organization in Kabul.

In turn, the Head of the Office expressed gratitude for the meeting, noting the high international status of Kazakhstan. He also praised the measures taken by the Kazakh side in terms of organizing a large-scale campaign to provide humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan.

At the same time, Dr. Muhammad Saeed Al-Ayash assured that he would make every effort to strengthen relations between the Office and the Embassy.

The meeting discussed the general situation in the country, the latest developments in the political process and humanitarian aid issues.
