Kazakhstan and IsDB seal 2050 national development strategy framework deal
On the sidelines of OPEC Fund Development Forum in Vienna H.E. Mr. Nurlan Baibazarov, Deputy Prime-Minister – Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan, and H.E. Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser, Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) President, signed a Framework Program Agreement in line with the country’s 2050 National Development Strategy.
The agreement aims to support:
- Infrastructure development.
- Project preparation.
- Policy and strategy development.
- Capacity building initiatives and sector development programs.
Since 1996, IsDB has approved a total of US$1.64 billion in financing for various projects in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
