Consul General took part at the Award Ceremony for the winners of the competition of portrait painters

On January 30, 2024, by the invitation of the Society of Culture and Art of Saudi Arabia, I took part in the 7^th Annual Award Ceremony for the winners of the competition of portrait painters on the theme "King Abdulaziz”.

The guest of honor at the event was Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Saud, who held various positions in the country's leadership, including the Minister of Education of the Kingdom (2009-2013).

The competition was founded in 2017 by Dr. Zia Aziz Zia, an outstanding Saudi painter and sculptor, designer and author of the composition "Gate to Mecca". Each year, the contestants present their artwork on a specific topic. As noted, the 8th contest in 2025 will be dedicated to the beauty of the camel, the traditional companion of the Arabian Bedouin.

The solemn event was attended by honorable representatives of the cultural community of Saudi Arabia, artists, public figures, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Jeddah.
