Nurlan Abdirov met with the delegation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation

On March 18, Chairman of the Central Election Commission Nurlan Abdirov held a meeting with a delegation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation headed by the Ambassador of the Political Department of the OIC General Secretariat, Sayyid Sheikh Sayyid Hassan Sharif.

During the meeting, the Head of the Central Election Commission informed about the preparation and holding of early elections of deputies of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, told briefly about the results of registration of candidates for deputies, also stressed that all procedures for registration of candidates were carried out on the principles of transparency and openness in accordance with constitutional norms. The election commissions have taken the necessary measures to implement the constitutional rights of citizens.

Nurlan Abdirov stressed that the delegation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation is taking part in the observation of electoral processes in our country not for the first time. He also expressed gratitude to the international observers for responding to the invitation and coming to Kazakhstan to monitor the electoral process.

The CEC Chairman stressed that the election commissions are taking all measures to ensure that the elections are held in accordance with national legislation and international standards.
