On June 1, 2022, H.E. Mr. Berik Aryn, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Saudi Arabia, and H.E. Mr. Talgat Shaldanbay, the Consul General of Kazakhstan in Jeddah, held a meeting with Mr. Ahmed Almehmadi, the Vice President of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), at the GEA office in Jeddah.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibility of participation of Kazakh artistic groups and famous artists in events held in Saudi Arabia within the framework of the “Saudi Seasons” cultural and entertainment programs.
It is worth mentioning that the Saudi General Entertainment Authority is responsible for developing the Kingdom’s entertainment sector as part of the “Saudi Vision 2030” strategy adopted in 2016.
GEA is the main organizer of all major entertainment events in Saudi Arabia. One of GEA’s most significant projects is hosting events across the Kingdom under “Saudi Seasons.” Events are held at a high international level and include music concerts, theatrical performances, exhibitions, comedies, laser shows, cultural and sports events, folk dances, etc.
Over the past five years, more than 26 thousand events have been held within the framework of the Saudi Seasons, and the number of participants has exceeded 75 million people. The most significant and large-scale events are “Riyadh Season” and “Jeddah Season.”
