Prospects of economic cooperation with Indonesia

Jakarta, February 1, 2024 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan Serzhan Abdykarimov held a meeting with Deputy Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs of Indonesia Edi Pambudi.

The parties discussed the preparation and holding of the 2nd meeting of the Kazakh-Indonesian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, including further actions to identify specific projects in the trade, economic, and investment spheres.

The mining industry, industry, food, agricultural, and medical sectors are highlighted among the promising areas.

An agreement was reached to intensify work on draft agreements on mutual protection and promotion of investments and on avoidance of double taxation.
