Tourism issues discussed in Jakarta

On January 11, 2023, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Indonesia Mr. Daniyar Sarekenov held a meeting with the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia Mr. Sandiaga Uno to discuss topical issues of cooperation in the field of tourism.

The parties agreed to continue working to create favorable conditions for increasing tourist trips of citizens of the two countries, including by simplifying the visa regime, participating in joint tourist forums (exhibitions), and expanding the relevant legal framework.

The Indonesian side expressed its interest in organizing trips of Indonesian tourists to Kazakhstan as a new destination for the Umra Plus tourist package.

Umra Plus travel packages allow Indonesian citizens to visit a third country as transit before or after making the Umra or Hajj to Saudi Arabia.
